The first pic is my makeup right after I applied it. I loved how it looked although I think I overdid it a bit with the concealer (BH Cosmetics). Still learning a bit on how to work with concealer and understanding that not all concealers require the same amount and require slightly different blending techniques. I used CoverGirl BB Cream and Coty Airspun Powder (recommendation from Tati) and I have been loving them both. The container of Airspun is so big and was under $8! I used Essence's Matt Bronzer for the first time and it was a bit powdery but went on the skin so nicely and smelled GOOD! I have been using Pretty Vulgar blush for a bit since I got it in my BoxyCharm in March and I love it! The e.l.f highlighter is a new purchase and I liked how it looked when I applied but it had faded by the end of the day. Not sure if I applied enough to start the day and again as a newbie am still working that all out.
My eyes were all courtesy of Makeup Revolution and their Mint Chocolate Bar palette which I just got and this was my first time using it. I love Makeup Revolution and this palette added some colors to my collection that I didn't have in any of my other palettes. It is a super cost effective company that you can find at ULTA and I highly recommend checking some of their products out. Right now I have four eye shadow palettes from them, a blush and bronzer palette and an individual highlighter. I used NYX Matte Liquid Liner in black for the first time and it actually went on super easy, and continue to use Benefit's Bad Gal Bang mascara in a sample size that I got in a Birchbox. Finally I topped it all of with Lipsense Beige Champagne and Opal Gloss (I love Lipsense!).
I am seriously loving so much learning more and more about makeup and exploring products prior to watching YouTube vids of my favorite bloggers: Casey, Andrea, Jessica, Samantha and Taylor that I might never have tried. I am learning the things I like and don't and learning more about what companies I want to add to my collection. I own no high end makeup but am finding that I am not missing any of it right now.
