Today's Look and a Trip to Ulta (shh...)

Saturday's and weekends in general are such a paradox for me when it comes to my makeup routine. I tend to go makeup free unless I have plans for the day or am going to go out and run errands. I woke up at 6:30 for no reason and after an hour decided I wanted to put my makeup on. I wanted to try my new Essence products that I got in the mail yesterday and create an eye look from the Makeup Revolution Love Conquers All Eye Shadow Palette that I got as a gift with purchase a couple of weeks ago.

I like how the look turned out overall but I was a bit disappointed in the eye look. I thought the two different shadows that I put on my lid would not have been so close in color. They looked clearly different in the palette but went on my eyes a bit differently then I thought. That being said they did blend nicely and were super creamy so there I like the product in general but was sad about how things turned out a bit.

After taking the time to put on my makeup I promptly went to the recliner and was enjoying watching a ton of YouTube Beauty Vlogger videos. I am working on a post about all my favorite bloggers and some info about them. There are so many to name and there are inevitably many more that are fantastic that I won't mention. I am excited to share this with you guys in the next few days. The makeup held up well overall throughout mid-day. The eye look did not crease and remained super pigmented. Also I tried a new foundation and concealer today from Essence and my first impression is overall very positive. Still looking to try them out a bit more before I form a solid opinion but so far so good.
I was so excited to go to Ulta and pick up some new products. After shopping around on my computer I took my adorable little man (son Landon) and raided Ulta and got a few things from e.l.f and LA Girl that I had heard about from other YouTubers and read reviews about online. I am excited to try them out and see how they work. What I am loving so far is that I am able to find great high quality products at drug store prices. I hope to try some higher end things down the road but it is not in the budget at this point. Check out some of the great things that I got...
