I wanted to post about my look from yesterday but I was unable to do so. My son and I were in a minor car accident and I took some time to rest and calm my nerves. I wanted to share the things I thought about yesterday's look as well as my thoughts about today's look.

APRIL 8th

I was super excited to try out some of my new e.l.f. purchases from Saturday and see if they were as good as the videos that I had been watching suggested. Considering the challenge of my day and the many tears that were shed I was amazed how well my eye makeup held up. There was some creasing but I am not sure if that is due to the primer, eye shadow or none of the above. The mascara and eyeliner stayed put and there were no streaks down my face which I full expected to see when I looked in the mirror. Also there were not any streaks in the foundation, powder and face products had no streaks from where the tears on my face. I was unable to do my usual amount of check-ins but below are some pictures of how my makeup looked at two different points during the day.

Eyes: e.l.f Shadow Lock Eye Shadow Primer, W7 Colour Me Buff Eye Shadow Palette, LA Girl Fineline Eyeliner, Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Face: Maybelline Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth Primer, e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation, Essence Camoflauge Full Coverage Concealer, Coty Airspun Loose Powder, Physcians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Apricot Glow, Essence Keep it Perfect! Make-Up Fixing Spray

I was super pleased with this look. The W7 Colour Me Buff Palette gave me shades to do a really cool yet not super obnoxious silver eye. It was super pigmented and while there was some dust up in the pan it was creamy and blended really well. I have some other W7 palettes on my wish list and hope to add them to the two that I already have in my collection.

APRIL 9th

Today I dipped into my Zodiac palette by bh Cosmetics and I am in love. I have never ever done something colorful like this, but the quality is fantastic. It is all color and no neutrals which scared me at first, but I loved how the colors I used today went on. There was not a lot of fall out in the pan or on my face and it was smooth and creamy and blended extremely well. The pictures below also show that the color only faded a little little bit and still stayed pretty vivid. There are some other palettes that bh cosmetics has that I am super interested in like the ItsMyRayeRaye Palette and Carli Bybel palette and if the quality is like the Zodiac and Shaaanxo palette then I am all over it. I also tried the LA Girl Pro Matte foundation for the first time and I am super impressed with how it didn't every make me appear greasy and didn't make me appear dry either which I loved. The other products that I used are mainstays and part of my everyday collection with a few color choices. I have enjoyed trying out all kinds of drugstore brands and while I hope to try some higher end things eventually it feels good knowing that there are high quality products at lower prices!
