FRIDAY THE 13th
I meant to do a post yesterday but after a week full of the state assessment I was just so wiped out that I fell asleep while watching TV and honestly never got around to it. I really loved the look from Friday the 13th and it was nice to wear something a little less in your face. I had two days prior worn a pretty colorful blue look and then yesterday worn a more smokey halo eye so this was quite a change. Overall I tried to go for a more subtle look and was trying to put much more effort in to tapping out excess and blending things out. All of these products are really easy to work with. I haven't used the CYO Foundation for a bit and I like the coverage although the undertone almost seems a bit grey, but I am not sure if that is because of the shade or not. Also this is the only foundation that I have that comes in a plastic bottle. Now someone might say that is because it is drugstore and they are trying to keep the cost down, BUT I also have the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation which is cheaper and it is in a glass bottle. Nothing that would keep me from purchasing it again, but something to keep in mind. Also I love love love the coverage I get from the NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer but it is sticky and definitely needs to be set with a powder in my opinion. A little bit of this goes a long way and don't use too much powder because the first time I used this concealer I used a bit much and it was super creasy and cakey looking.

If you look at the pictures below the eye look especially held up super well. I know that the pictures may not have shown it, but the foundation remained well blended and appeared like it was part of my skin. The Pretty Vulgar blush is becoming one of my favorites that I own! I have found that it is super pigmented a little bit of product goes a long way. It also remains on the skin throughout the day without any touch ups. I also have really enjoyed using the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter and the one observation I have is that it kicks up a lot of powder. Today was also the second day that I wore the Palladio Beauty and Casey Holmes Liquid Lipstick collab in Rescue. I love this color and how long it lasts before needing reapplication. I am not a 100% matte lipstick fan so I put a light clear gloss on top and it looks fantastic. Unless it sells out I hope to get the other 2 colors in this collab soon.

SATURDAY THE 14th
I was so so so excited to do my makeup today because I was going to try out all the stuff that I got in my April Boxycharm. Let me tell you if you don't subscribe to Boxycharm it is 100% the best subscription to get and in my opinion is way better than Birchbox, ipsy and Sephora Play. The biggest difference is that while it is $21 compared to $10 that the others cost it comes with FULL SIZE PRODUCTS! To me that is worth the $11 extra dollars. Anyways I wanted to use as many of the products as I could so I used a combo of the Boxycharm and PUR palette and the new Colourpop Semi Precious palette. I blended some lighter peachy shades from the PUR palette and then used the green shimmer from the Semi Precious palette for a pretty subtle look. One thing that was also in there was a brow tint from The Brow Gal and it definitely darkened things and I am not 100% sure how I feel about it since I have not used any brow products before but it was super easy to use so we will see. I am also loving this e.l.f. cosmetics HD sheer powder to set the foundation and my NYX concealer. I went lighter today with the Covergirl BB Cream. I also loved the look of the Adesse Liquid Lipstick in Haute Cocoa.

So the look held up pretty well throughout the day. The face products held up okay but part of that might be because I chose to take a nap and so I have no doubt that some of the bronzer, blush and highlight rubbed off with that. The foundation still looks fantastic and fresh without any major issues and I love love love the e.l.f. mineral infused primer.

FINALLY....
I went to Walgreens and picked up a few small things. I only intended to get a brush to use to blend my foundation since I have only ever used a sponge...but of course that never works out. The Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit lipsticks were buy 3 for $10 so of course I had to pick up three. Finally I had seen a couple of videos about the Rimmel foundation although I was not 100% sure about which one they were always talking about...some of the videos had the gray/silver cap and others had the red one. It isn't super expensive so I figured it was worth a try.
