If you want to see more of my blogs don't forget to subscribe on the home page. I would totally appreciate your support and it would help me get out there for more people to see my thoughts and learn to enjoy makeup as much as I do.

So for newer followers you may not know that I am an elementary school teacher and this time of year means assessment after assessment which leads to crabby students and bored teachers. I am thinking the entire time that I am testing that I became a teacher to teach!!! Anyways today was long but I was able to work on a wish list for my next paycheck and sort through some stuff on Pinterest and write up some plans for my classroom and of course future blog posts.

Anyways enough rambling and let's talk about this look from today.

Today I pulled my bh Cosmetics Shaaanxo Eye Shadow palette out for its second use and I still love it as much as the first time that I used it. I went with another brown look today but I used a duo chrome shade called avacado and it looked so good on the inner half of my eye. I packed it on with a brush and then put a bit more on with my finger and I love it. I am still working out what methods to use with different types of shadows. I am also trying to understand the entire concept of wetting the brush to blend shadow ... it looks so good when everyone else does it but then when I do it I worry that I am ruining the shadow palette. I need to watch more videos about this before I feel good about doing it to make sure I am not continuing to make newbie mistakes with my makeup. I love this palette though and it has such a good mix of neutrals that can be used in a variety of ways as well as shimmers, pops of colors and some really good mattes that blend super well.

I used my sponge to apply my face makeup today since my foundation brush was dirty and I wanted to clean it since I was using a different foundation. That is also something else I keep seeing different things about how often to clean brushes...some people say daily some say weekly and I am never sure what to do for sure. I am doing them twice a week right now but try to spot clean with wipes. I continue to love my e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer and am looking to get their poreless primer here shortly. I am finding that I am getting better at blending all my products together on my face and after the highlighter debacle that was yesterday trying to put on cream to powder highlighter with a brush today's look was great. I used the Physcians Formula Butter Highlighter again today and dotted some one with my finger and then blended it lightly with my highlighter brush and the effect was so much better and not a stripe of shine on my cheek. All of my products have been powder to this point and so the idea of a cream product is still new to me. I am loving the Makeup Revolution (or Revolution Beauty???) Triple Baked Bronzer in Hot Summer of Love because it is a bronzer and a bit of a highlighter so it has a bit of a glow. I pulled out my Butter London Double Decker Mascara again today for the first time in a couple of weeks and I had much better luck with it and I had minimal flaking and no transfer and I thought my lashes looked thicker and longer.

Eyes: LA Girl HD Eye Shadow Primer Stick, bh cosmetics Shaaanxo the Remix Eye Shadow Palette, LA Girl Fine Line Eyeliner in Black, Butter London Double Decker Mascara

Face: e.l.f. cosmetics Mineral Infused Primer, Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation in Natural, essence Camouflage Full Coverage Concealer in Ivory, Coty Airspun, Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Bronzer in Hot Summer of Love, Physcians Formula Butter Blush in Natural Glow, Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter in Champagne, e.l.f. Day to Night Lipstick Duo and Need it Nudes

The look held up well throughout the day and the shimmer and shine from the highlighter and bronzer combo still looked great when I was heading home after my son's swimming lessons after 5:00pm...13 and a half hours after getting ready! I added a lot of lip products to my usual stash of Lipsense which is my typical go to but I am trying to branch out a bit. I am going to continue to explore products online and watch videos and work on my blog and create some new blog ideas. Please give me a follow and subscribe so you don't miss any of the new things that I have coming up.
