Thursday's Look...ALMOST THE WEEKEND!

***Again another full day of testing led to an early bed time so I am posting this the morning after!***

Most of the products I wore today were some that I have been using for a while and love so much, but the start of the look was the eyes (again!). I used the Maybelline City Mini Palette X Shayla and I have only used it one other time. The reviews that I saw on YouTube were so mixed on the City Mini palettes, but most people said this one was an exception so I went ahead and took a chance and bought it at Target. I really love it and did an eye look with the more berry shade on the outer half of my eye and the golden shimmer shade on the inner half of the eye and it really turned out quite well! I also tried out the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream for the first time and really liked it. It was far more comfortable on the lips than some of the other matte formulas that I have tried. I am still experimenting in the realm of lipstick at this point because I have almost exclusively been using Lipsense, which I still really enjoy, and so I have not had a ton of experience with a wide variety of products for the lips. I also was not feeling really great yesterday so I wanted to wear products that added a ton of glow so I used the Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Bronzer and it is almost like a bronze highlighter. Combined with a more natural blush and an e.l.f. highlighter I was so in love with my face look today!

So I just realized that I swapped the numbers on this and the top set of pictures was from 12 hours and the bottom set 8 hours. Regardless the look held up so well and I continue to be impressed with the staying power of my eye shadows. I think that is a combination of some great eye shadow but also some kick butt eye shadow primers. Everything holds up so well with minimal creasing and fading (unless my eyes start to water...WAH). I have continued to get several compliments on my makeup and I am loving how it changes my entire look day to day. With all the testing we have been doing I have been tired and dragging in general and I love how I am able to use makeup to give me a more awake look and feel better inside and outside. This makeup journey continues to be so much fun and I am loving sharing my thoughts and hope more of you that look at my blog will subscribe I would really appreciate it!
