Got Some Marshalls and Mercari Steals!!!

So this weekend I was being super low maintenance and didn't even put on makeup so I kind of went social media silent. As a teacher during state assessment time I am super exhausted at the end of a day full of testing and it is so hard to see my students get frustrated, but they never gave up and really gave their best effort. I have a few great things that I have been looking into and doing this weekend that I am super excited to share with you.

The first thing that I did was make a trip to Marshalls to look and see what discount makeup they had and if I could finally add some high end makeup to my collection. I am honestly shocked how tore up a lot of stuff is when I got there. Boxes were open and there was a lip gloss spilling out of the tube but there was also some great looking items. I saw a lot of Anastasia Beverly Hills single eye shadows, but I don't have a Z-Palette at this point so I wasn't going to pick them up. It was also funny when I found one that had an empty box. As I dug around I found 3 Lorac Alter Ego Lipsticks (regularly $18 and got for $4.99) and a Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss (regularly $17 and got for $3.99) in the shades below:

They are all fairly similar when you look at them in the tube but there are differences when you wear them on the lips. I have tried them all quickly to see how they looked on my lips and I was super jazzed to add them to my collection. I also picked up the Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain in Rosy Glow which is normally $21 and I got it I believe for $4.99 (not sure) and I haven't used it yet, but it looks great in the container.

Finally I was all done and heading to the counter to pay and I saw that they had some more makeup in a section by the check out lines and I found the biggest find (weird I know) and I was so excited. I found the Pirates of the Carribean Lorac Eye Shadow Palette! You can't even find this in Ulta anymore and I am so so so excited. It was originally $59 and I got it for $19.99!!!

This palette was in great condition and hadn't been messed with or swatched which I was super excited about it, and it still had a plastic cover on the inside which made me feel so much better. It was a limited edition (I think) and had been being discounted over time but I felt super good about the purchase.

Finally I discovered a website/app called "Mercari" https://www.mercari.com/ where you can buy and sell makeup and lots of other types of products that come from many different categories. It reminds me a bit of Glambot but is not limited to makeup at all and has clothes, electronics and more. I did some searching and bought a new still in the box Lorac Pro 3 palette regularly $44 for $18.80 including shipping (was being sold for $25 and I got a $10 coupon when I signed up for the site). I am so excitged and can't wait to get my hands on it and share what I think of it with all of you!
