If you want to see more of my blogs don't forget to subscribe on the home page. I would totally appreciate your support and it would help me get out there for more people to see my thoughts and learn to enjoy makeup as much as I do. Also follow me on Twitter @crrobb and on Instagram @cristinarobb1980 where I post about 4 times throughout the day.
Sorry for going radio silent on my blog the last couple of days. As the school year wraps up I have been crazy busy and super tired when I get home so I just fell behind on my updates. Since most of the products that I used on Friday were a lot of the same things that I have been using I am just going to share a few thoughts. The Physicians Formula Mascara is not my favorite but I wanted to give it another try since I hadn't used it in a while. I still prefer my Essence mascaras and love the Lash Princess False Lash Effect and the Volume Stylist. I will never buy a high end mascara because based on my limited experience plus all the video reviews I have seen there are a ton of drugstore priced mascaras that are fantastic so there is no need to buy an expensive mascara. The only way I think that I would ever have a higher end mascara is if it came in a Boxycharm. I continue to love this LA Girl Quad in Glamorize and of all my smaller eye shadow quads it is by far my favorite. I get so many compliments whenever I do the purple look and it holds up really well. It can get a little bit patchy, but it builds up fine and if you spray a little bit of setting spray on the brush it definitely helps and is well worth the effort.
Friday May 4th
Eyes: Makeup Revolution Eye Shadow Primer, LA Girl Eye Lux in Glamorize, LA Girl Fineline Eyeliner, Physicians Formula Shimmering Strips Mascara
Face: Essence Fresh & Fit Healthy Glow Pore Minimizing Primer, Essence Fresh & Fit Awake Makeup Foundation, Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define, Coty Airspun, Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Light, Wet n Wild Color Icon, e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Apricot Glow, Adesse Liquid Lipstick
For Saturday's look things turned out really well and held up so nicely. Normally my eye products are my faves but today I loved the face products and how the foundation and the Physcians Formula Products turned out. I love how all of it blended and smelled because it smells just like a Pina Colada. The shining star of the face look was the galactic highlighter from the palette. It says it is a limited edition but I really hope they think about adding it to the collection permanently. The thing that throws me off about the Physicians Formula Butter face products is that the bronzer and blush are powder and the highlighter is cream...small thing but you have to pay attention to that when you are using the highlighter. I would personally prefer if it were all powder products because creams are just a bit trickier to work with and I have found that I tend to use a bit more than I need. The other new product that I used was the Essence Volume Stylist mascara. I love their Lash Princess Mascara so I was super hopeful that this would be just as nice and it totally was! Two wins on the mascara front for me from Essence!
